This weekend, the entire Kairos community is encouraged to attend a fantastic performance on the Angola grounds.
The performance is a live play entitled, The Life of Jesus Christ.
This three hour play depicts the complete story of Jesus’ life and resurrection. The play is performed entirely from residents of Angola and is performed as a live outdoor event on the grounds of Angola.
There are two performances, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Both performances start at 10am and the gates open at 9am.
Tickets are $10 each. For more information, please call: (225) 931-3664 or (225) 655-2592.

There were cameras there for broadcasting to the 40 other states. It’s against the prison policy to allow just anyone to film. I have made an inquiry at the museum foundation site about DVDs being made available for sale. Meanwhile I found this slide show and a video from last year’s production I thought you all would enjoy: http://www.npr.org/2012/06/23/155456533/audio-slideshow-prisoners-at-play-in-the-life-of-jesus-christ

Sorry, I received a reply from the museum foundation that there is no DVD made of the event. Too, bad, I would have bought one, too!
